We are a community based volunteer organization whose mission is "to better our communities by promoting service, fellowship, family values and national pride." Founded in Hamilton Ontario in 1920, this all Canadian association has member clubs in over 500 communities.
While each club supports projects that are of local importance, two programs receive the support of clubs from coast to coast:
1. Since 1964, Kinsmen and Kinettes have provided funding to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and in 1997 financial support exceeded $25 million.
2. To promote national pride, Kinsmen and Kinettes spearhead the coordination of Raise the Flag Day, a patriotic event held each May.
In Saskatchewan, clubs also organize the annual Saskatchewan Telemiracle fundraiser. The Saskatchewan Telemiracle Foundation provides funds each year to Saskatchewan families in need of help.
