Mortlach Historic Afforestation Project

Just across the Trans-Canada highway from Mortlach, to the north-east, is a chance to explore a forest that may have you forgetting you're in the prairies! Explore, on foot, what is locally known as "the tree farm".

"The tree farm" was established as the Mortlach Historic Afforestation Project, 1945 - 1971 by the PFRA (Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration) and the RM of Wheatlands No. 163.
