Eunice Irene Moen (nee Letson) born August 7, 1924 in Prince Albert, SK passed away with her family at her side on November 27, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Eunice married Nels Moen December 25, 1943 in PA, they moved to the Blue Hill District where they farmed until 1961. The family moved to Mortlach where they owned and operated the Midland Motel and Service Station. They retired in 1975 and moved to Moose Jaw, where Eunice remained until 2011 when she moved to the Red Deer Nursing Home in Porcupine Plain. Predeceased by her parents; husband Nels; two brothers; four sisters; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law and daughter-in-law Esther. Eunice is lovingly remembered by her sister Win Phillips of Air Ronge, SK; sons Ian (Linda) of Mesa, AZ, Barry of Clive, AB, Dale (Linda) of Saskatoon, SK, Robin of Weyburn, SK; daughters Brenda (Alex) Dunlop of Porcupine Plain and Gail (John) Young of Olds, AB; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held the W.J. Jones & Son Chapel, 106 Athabasca St E, Moose Jaw on Friday December 4, 2015 at 1:30PM. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorialization will take place at the Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials donations in Eunice’s name may be directed to the Diabetic Association or Red Deer Nursing Home in Porcupine Plain. In living memory of Eunice, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
