Dwight Ronald Matheson

October 5, 1946 - November 7, 2017

Dwight Ronald Matheson passed away suddenly Tuesday November 7, 2017. He was born October 5, 1946 to parents Garf and Mary Matheson.

Dwight was married in December 1965 to Marilyn Dalrymple. Dwight worked several jobs including ESSO and Wilsons Stationary in the first few years. When starting out farming he had help from his Dad and Tom Shillington. Farming was always what he wanted to do, he was a full-time farmer from 1971 to 2006. After that he sold travel trailers for a few years and then started driving bus. First as a spare driver, then a full route the last few years, driving the

kiddies to Mortlach School. Many years were spent camping with the family and traveling all over Saskatchewan. In later years Dwight and Marilyn spent a lot of years at Elbow at their seasonal RV campsite. Dwight was particularly proud of all the tree planting he and Marilyn did at the Sunset Suites and RV Park.

He is predeceased by his parents Garf and Mary Matheson. Dwight is survived by his wife Marilyn Matheson; his daughters Nadine and Randy Horvath, Dawn Matheson and Don Ellis; his grandchildren, Ethan and Melina Ellis; his daughter, Stefanie Matheson; grandchildren Taylor and Hailey Rosenau; his siblings Don and Blondina Matheson, Louise and Doug Ott, Shelley and Dave Froehlich; as well as his nieces and nephews.

A Come and Go Memorial Tea will take place at the Crescent Park Event Center (262 Athabasca St. E. Moose Jaw, SK) Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. A private family interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (20 Eglinton Ave. W., Ste. 1600, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8).
